Itinerary

    We will transfer from Mérida to Motul. Enjoy an exciting journey through Yucatan's most important memorable moments, starting the day with breakfast: some delicious huevos motuleños in this Magical Town.

    Continuing our tour visiting Hacienda San Eduardo, one of the last henequen haciendas. Historical tour: learn about the rich history of the hacienda, its architecture, and its role in the local economy. Gardens and grounds: stroll through the beautiful gardens and enjoy the serene atmosphere. By participating in these activities, you can fully experience the beauty, culture, and history of Hacienda San Eduardo and its surroundings.

    We will continue our tour towards one of the most notable Mayan ceremonial centers in the area, surrounded by mangroves, Xcambó. The archaeological site of Xcambó is a lesser-known but fascinating destination in the Yucatan Peninsula. This ancient Mayan site offers a unique opportunity to explore the history and culture of the region. Join a guided visit to gain deeper insight into the history, architecture, and culture of the Mayan civilization that once thrived here.

    We will move on to a traditional salt mine called Ixtampú. Learn about the traditional salt harvesting methods that have been practiced in Xtampú for centuries. Guided visits often provide information about the history and the process. Capture the vibrant pink tones of the salt flats, especially during sunrise or sunset when the light enhances the colors. The unique landscape offers fantastic photography opportunities. Observe the various bird species that frequent the salt flats, including flamingos, which are often seen wading in shallow waters.

    To finish, you will have 2 hours of free time at the Malecón de Puerto Progreso. Located on the northern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, it is a lively port city known for its beautiful beaches, vibrant culture, and diverse activities. Spend a day relaxing on soft sandy beaches, swimming in crystal-clear waters, or soaking up the sun under the warm Yucatan sun. Take a leisurely stroll along the Malecón, a picturesque boardwalk lined with shops, restaurants, and bars. It is an excellent place to enjoy sea views and a vibrant atmosphere.
