Wear comfortable and light clothing: ideally cotton, and a swimsuit underneath. Bring biodegradable sunscreen (very important to protect the ecosystem). Don't forget a hat, sunglasses, and insect repellent. Sandals, flip-flops, or water shoes to walk comfortably on the islands and the cenote. Bring a small backpack with a towel, a change of clothes, and personal items. Stay hydrated: bring a reusable water bottle. Cash (Mexican pesos) for snacks, souvenirs, or optional activities (in Holbox not all places accept cards). Carry your phone fully charged or bring an external battery—the photos here are a must! Respect the times indicated by the guide, especially the meeting point for the return journey.
