Gastronomic demonstration and lunch
The cuisine of Yucatán is a blend of ingredients used by the ancient Maya (with corn being the primary one) and flavors brought by the Spanish during the colonial period. The most commonly used seasonings and spices include pumpkin seeds, oregano, purple onion, sour orange, sweet pepper, lime, tomato, achiote, xkatik chili, habanero chili, max chili, and cilantro. Yucatán was known as "the land of the pheasant and the deer" due to the use of these species as the main ingredients in its dishes. Today, they have been replaced by pork and turkey. After the presentation, indulge in our regional cuisine prepared by a restaurant with a distinctive-H certification.
