Overview

This is where Tulum Snorkel Services began, and it is still our guests' favorite way to discover the Caribbean. In two hours you will meet the reef's most beloved residents with a local team that knows every corner of these waters.

The ruins from the sea. Our boat leaves from Playa Pescadores, inside Jaguar Park, and first heads to the cliffs of the Tulum Archaeological Zone. We pause so you can take photos of the ancient Mayan city from the water while your guide tells its story.

Itinerary

  1. 1

Departure from Playa Pescadores & Tulum ruins from the sea

Meet our team at the Tulum Snorkel Services booth on the sand at Playa Pescadores, inside Jaguar Park. After gear fitting, our boat heads to the cliffs of the Tulum Archaeological Zone for a photo stop with the ancient Mayan city as your backdrop.

  2. 2

Stop 1: Sea turtle & stingray sanctuary (45 min)

Snorkel for about 45 minutes in a sanctuary where wild sea turtles graze on the seagrass and rise for air just a few meters away, while stingrays glide over the sandy bottom. Your guide swims with you. We observe the marine life with respect: no touching and no feeding.

  3. 3

Stop 2: Tulum coral reef (45 min) & return

Explore a beautiful section of the Mesoamerican Reef for about 45 minutes: colorful corals, schools of tropical fish and, very often, nurse sharks resting below. Feeling tired? You can return to the boat at any time. We then cruise back to Playa Pescadores.
